Paypal invoice

Just logged on to paypal and I had an invoice there for $68 from a Whan Chan, I cancelled the invoice as I know nothing about it. It then said he would be sent an email saying i'd cancelled, have I done the right thing there or should i have just ignored it and left it, theres no way they can get my details is there and hack into my account? Cheers

  • was it an email you had? as l had an email supposedly from paypal, saying l was being billed for a watch and if l disputed it ,to click on a link. Alarm bells rang and l sent the email to paypal. They confirmed it was a fake and if l had clicked on the link,.they would have had access to my bank details. Change your password now on ebay and paypal. Good Luck.
  • No email, so I havent clicked any link. It was when I logged onto the Paypal site and the invoice was just there waiting for me to send off $68
  • If you haven't bought anything then it may just be a spoof mail in the hope that the odd one may pay up. May be worth forwarding it (if you still have it) to PayPal with a covering note - just so they're aware.
  • Yes, as they give you the option to send an invoice from paypal to any email address, its proberbly just a mass phising exercise.
