Really? That's expensive.
Give me your number and I'll do it for a fiver."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
OP, why not use your mobile phone?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

For the regular user, it's a BT Calling Feature and the stand alone cost is £2.59/month for unlimited use.
For the occasional user, the automated system costs 35p per use:
Setting a Reminder Call, key * 5 5 * time #
Obviously, the 24 hour clock has to be used.
Cancelling #55#
Checking the call time *#55#
Hence, setting a call for 7.30am you'd key *55*0730#

IIRC, changing the code to 56 repeats the Reminder Call daily.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
