Travel expenses / not immediate start

Hi there
I'm on the dole, like a few of us, and I have an interview 200 miles away in London to work a ski season.
My question is: will I be able to claim travel expenses from the job centre, even though the job starts in December (the interview being next week)?
Thanks in advance!

Yes you can claim travel to interview expenses. I once claimed for one 150 miles away. I got it after the interview though which, whilst nice, wasn't really helpful.0

you should apply before you go and can ask for a travel warrant for the train fare to get you there if you cant afford it or cant wait for the refund. You'll need to show proof of the interview though. ask at the jobcentre for a TIS1 form0
