Year abroad insurance advice needed

Hi,
I am about to go to France on a year abroad and I think it would be a good idea to take out some sort of insurance plan as I will be taking valuables such as laptop etc out with me.
I am a british student and will be living in France for 10 months so i don't think annual Travel insurance would cover such a trip.
Does anyone have any advice? I would be very greatful.
Thank you!!:j

There are long stay policies available through most Insurers.
If you go to a comparison site or visit a local broker, you will be able to get quotes for what you need.
In regard to the value of possessions you are taking with you, Travel Insurance is very limited. You should therefore ask your parents to check their Home Insurance, to see if they can cover the full value of items you are taking with you.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
