I have 3 pc running on my Netgear DG834G router,
I am trying to setup a rule which will not allow my son access to the internet after a certain time at night, but it doesn't seem to work.
i explain what i have done so far,
reserved IP address for each PC so that he always gets the same IP address,
setup firewall rule to block all internet based traffic.
set rule to always allow unless set by schedule
set schedule to run bewteen certain times of the day.
have applied all the settings but it doens't seem to work
Any ideas gratefull

Have a look at http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/D102713.asp, if you haven't updated your firmware it seems you need to.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0

Maybe you need a 'BLOCK by schedule, otherwise Allow' rule instead because it says:
"ALLOW rules are only useful if the traffic is already covered by a BLOCK rule. (That is, you wish to allow a subset of traffic which is currently blocked by another rule.)"0 -

have tried the block by schedule otherwise allow but still does not work also am using the service "any" which in theory should block all traffic from that machine to the LAN and WAN,
Really no sure why this is not working0 -

on the firewall rule i added my sons ip address into the LAN and WAN user box
