Why are you converting to WAV format?
The easiest way I find to do the task is use Windows Media Player. Click on 'Burn', then the arrow below it. Make sure 'Audio CD' is selected. Find the files in the library and drag them over to the 'Burn' tab on the right. Once you've got all the files you want there, make sure a blank CD is inserted and press 'Start Burn'. Now the CD has ejected, try it in your CD player in your car/wherever.
You may also find that you have already mistakenly set up the disks to be Data discs instead of Audio discs, which is why the CD won't play. There may be a fix like formatting the disc (can you do this on CDs?!) and starting again, but you will have to do an internet search for more information. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Agreed - CD-RWs have low reflectivity compared to CD-Rs, and many CD players can't read them at all. Some older CD players can't read CD-Rs either, but that's rare these days.0 -
