Help with Travel Insurance Claim

Hi

I have just had my claim bounced by the loss adjuster and Id appreciate some help whilst I appeal to the company involved

I had a short break planned last month
The night before the airline texted me to say my outward flight was cancelled due to strike action

The trip had been planned for a year

I tried to speak to my insurer but their office was shut - it was 7pm

The next flight into my destination was on the day I was due to leave

I decided to drive leaving at 4AM the next morning
I was refunded the out flight but have liabilites for return flight, 70% the cost of my car hire, and my UK airport parking

My claim has been turned down as my departure was not prolonged for the required 24h because I drove myself across Europe

I have pointed out that the next flight was on the day I was due to return, plus my only alternative would have been to cancel the lot whereby they would have paid out happily including my hotel

Im feeling hard done by
