I tried this in Lidl last week and thought it was a cross between Lem-sips and Vic inhalant rub, ugh, just awful and as is always the way it lasted all day.
Course it's possible that's a description of Hugo Boss Orange, wouldn't know as I've not used that but as I could smell Lemon strongly then there is a citrus connection, but the Lidl perfume was medicinal imo.
Going to try some of the suggestions here though as perfume is my big indulgence and it's so expensive, think I might be a bit over fussy.[/QUOTE

Don't know what you were smelling lol

I suppose everyone's different but I genuinely didn't like it, while I was in there I bought Cien bath foam and that smells clinical too.
I spoilt myself when I was younger and my money was all my own to fritter however I liked, perfume was my indulgence.

I can't understand the hype about lidl perfumes either. I have tried suddenly a couple of times and think its horrid, perhaps l wouldn't like the original!

  • Currently using Virtual Brands 'Overdose' which comes in pretty close to Diesel's 'Loverdose' in fact my friend actually commented on it the other day!

Just received my first 'yuck' from pp. LMB its not very nice at all but l only got it because it sounded promising l hadn't tried the Jo Malone stuff. Any one out there tried both? Is the dupe identical? My best buy from pp so far has got to be Warmth, its just like flower bomb it's amazing.

I was given Aldi's One 4 Her at Christmas. Can anyone tell me what fragrance this is? I like it but don't have a clue. Thanks.

And it just goes to show how much profit the expensive perfume manufacturers are making, so unless you hold shares in them and gain to benefit from the dividends, I can't see any real reason, apart from snobbery, for not buying the smell-alikes. (unless somebody gives you the real McCoy as a gift of course!)

    Great thread :)

I have been using Next 'Just Pink' for a while but my favourite perfume is Chanel Coco Mademoiselle so going to check out Next 'Signature' or M&S 'Per Una' as well now.

I've sprayed 'Just Pink' in the office before and everyone complimented it and asked what it was - always a good sign!
  • hey does anyone know of a cheaper perfume that smells like Thierry Mugler ALIEN ? its my fave , thanks
