What kind of hairstyle do you have?

Just in a nosey mood really, I was wondering what kind of hairstyle posters on here have and also what kind of hairstyle would you like to have? Have you ever had the style you really want?
I'll start, I have naturally loosely curled hair that hangs about 3 inches below my shoulders and its coloured dark brown, which is pretty close to my natural colour, to cover grey but I add to this with long brown loose curl extensions so its waist length and fuller looking as its summer and I fancied a bit of a change I have put in some dark blonde curls (just a few) in the length only, this is my ideal hair thanks to the extensions but I have been through many styles over the years mainly various length bobs not to mention that I have been most shades of blonde and a few shades of red, I'm 42 now and have had this type of hair for about 18 months, it took me all those years to get what I really want which is kind of sad really but at least I got there in the end;)
Even sadder is the inspiration for me having the hair I really wanted was the song Unpretty by TLC with the line "You can buy your hair if it wont grow" which I'm listening too now:o

Hi glowgirl!....
my current style... it has been the same since i am 19 (26 now) sometimes with a fridge sometimes without and sometimes shorter and sometimes longer... it is the typical layers like Jennifer Aniston, i have a round face so i guess it is the only thing that suits me BUT i do play with color a lot... my natural hair is black but i get caramel hightlights... then get fed up, dye it black again, a couple of months after get fed up again.. and get highlights...pretty much that is all what i do.. i did have some really red bit for a bit but then i got fed that with that too...
at the mo i have caramel highlights and looooooving it... cos i have dark medium olive skin, i do think that having a lighter color suits me better, it brighten up my complexion.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Mine sits at my shoulders, is shaped at the front and layers through it because it's so thick. Colour is blonde, it's never been dyed or anything.0

Mines shoulder length, layered with a side parting but I also have a fringe if that makes sense. I was naturally brown headed with ginger bits in it but have gone white at the sides and so over the past years my hair that was brown is now dyed a very pale blond to try and tie in with the white. I really cant wait for it all to go white so I can stop bleaching it!!!
I would ideally love pretty red curls!0 -
I decided a earlier this year that the straight down "little girl" look didn't suit me as an 18 year old any more, so have long layers in now, no fringe - and layers long enough they can be clipped up if needed.
Colour wise.. I'm naturally a darkish/dirty blonde, but on my 18th birthday I died it dark red (semi-permanent), kept it like that for a while, dyed it blonde, went bright red (permanent) then went back to semi-permanents - reds, browns, purple/plum. You get the idea
It's now a light brown which while a different colour than natural.. isn't actually much darker, it's staying like this. For now. Considering a bright purple/blue/red.

Mine was just past my shoulders, shaped a bit at the front with long layers and a fringe.
Last week I had it cut into a bob. Short up to the nape of my neck at the back and then coming down longer at the sides.
I have always been various shades of blonde. My natural colour is like a light mousy brown / dark blondeBaby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
i have mid lenght golden brown/ chestnut colour hair. it is straight and slightly layered . i sometimes have it on a side parting, and sometimes i have a side fringe ( depends if i've got it cliped back with a grip.
ignore the fasinator but this is a me and shows my hair style quiet well. although this was took in april so it about 2 inches longer now.

I'm loving reading these descriptions of peoples hair

I've gone into long term hair rehab recently, after five years of abuse my hair needs a break and I've ditched a mane of Senera Van Der Woodsen high lights and thickening(damaging!) extensions in favour of a more natural look... ditched the keratin extensions, hacked off 4" of split ends and dyed it a very natural looking "golden ash blonde" (think elle macpherson's current mid-blonde but some of my light/golden highlights show through) so I can just leave it to grow for a few months and not worry about roots while I condition it like crazy!
I liken my hair to a little kid's as it's quite fine and soft, loose waves which curl at the ends. It's just past the back of my bra, with a few long layers and a full layered side fringe that I generally pin loosely behind my ears and then bring the rest of my hair forwards so it looks fuller from the front. I add a row of clip in hair extensions if I'm going out and want to thicken it up a bit.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Chin length blonde/caramel layered bob with wispy fringe and a side parting. It has to be a wash n wear style for me and with very thick coarse hair my options are severely limited.
I tend to play with the colour rather than the style.0 -
mine is quite long (at its longest its halfway down my back), poker straight (which is annoying if i fancied curls, as it doesnt take curling very well!) and its a sort of dark brown colour (pretty close to my natural colour). I've had it every colour under the sun in the last 10 years - you name it! but now i'm sticking to 'normal' colours.
I sometimes fancy getting it cut shorter, but know i would regret it until it grew back ha ha
I have a side parting, but sometimes play with where the parting is
