Hi, my apologies if this is not in the correct forum it looked like the most suitable one to post.
I just had a phone call from someone purporting to be from Moneysavingexpert regarding getting refunds back from PPI insurance. They spurted some blurb about a % of banking PPI insurances that have been missold, and that this money can be claimed back. They asked me if I had any PPI insurance I told them that we don't usually opt for that when taking out agreements. They asked me if I'd had financial agreements (meaning I guess loans etc?) in the past.
Then they were like "right well let's get the ball rolling and start claiming back this money for you..."
I gave them no personal details whatsoever and told them that I would never discuss my banking details with anyone I didn't know over the phone, and then I hung up.
From a quick google of the number they called me from (01792 763490) seems that these guys are a scam.
Just thought I'd warn people, either hang up or be polite then hang up but don't give these guys any personal details over the phone!

I can't see the point in informing the site at all, but if you do wish to, click the Abuse Button to alert it to a Board Guide (the little red triangle at the bottom right of each post)0
