Personally, I would not give 3 days, I would require immediate return on grounds of non availability of the property for which the deposit was given. And I would head the letter 'letter before action'. This may seem rather quick, but there are absolutely no grounds to continue holding the money.Fredfro - in your circumstances, I would write a formal letter to the LA , keeping it polite and to the facts only( -no "We feel angry that...") and request that they return your money in full within 3 working days.
