Cancelling breakdown cover on CIS policy?

I took out the breakdown cover with my CIS policy as it seemed a pretty good deal.

I now find that the breakdown cover is now provided as part of the bundle I have with my Co-Operative Bank account.

I called CIS to ask about cancelling the breakdown cover on my insurance policy and I've been told that is not possible.

Is this the case?

If not, any suggestions as how I go about getting them to remove it?

You should be able to cancel it, but in any case, you won't get a refund. Maybe easier just to let it carry on, and remove it at renewal.

check the policy booklet for the terms and conditions and see what it states in there with regard to cancelling, if you have purchased it in the last 14 days then there should be a cooling off period in which you can cancel immediately..

If they've told you that you can't cancel it what makes you think they are lying to you? You could always ring them back and ask them again, maybe you'll speak to someone different who doesn't know what they're talking about?
