Ipod Help???

Hi everyone pls try and help with this one, i have a 5th gen 60gb ipod video and every time i connect it to my comp it detects it straight away in my computer as named drive but i tunes takes forever to detectit if at all, befoe i upgraded to itunes 7 i could connect 3 out of 5 now its none if your lucky and when it does conect it says about upgrading but i tried pressing this and it freezez again. If it helps the times it does connect it takes ages before it registers and shows in itunes, any help much appreciated as this driving me mad???:eek:

Make sure you've got the latest iPod software (1.2) - this worked for me.

Reset it

you'd be amazed the number of ipod woes can be solved by just resetting it
