WARNING O2 favourite place catch!

Before you spend £10 on Martin's recommended O2 500 "!FREE! mins for a tenner deal", you need to be aware that that the 'FREE' mins are based on your last top up.
So, if you top up a tenner, and just use the phone for a few mins or none in that month, the £10 and the 500 mins are LOST.
Additionally as well as only lasting for a month and being free in your nominated postcode they can ONLY be used for calling numbers starting 01,02, and 03 - ALL other numbers are O2's PAYG standard charges, which are not the most competitive.
I say ALL this because it's impossible to register your Favourite place postcode BEFORE topping up, which as well as the so called 'free' minutes ONLY being valid for 1 month AFTER you have topped up, WAS NOT mentioned in Martin's article - null pointes!
If you have a lot of calls to do from home to landlines at 2p a minute, if you don't have a landline is great value, so get the free sim, register and just top it up as you need the time.

I have been on o2 PayGo for Years now, I spend £15 a Month, this gives me unlimited txts and calls to other O2 phones, as pretty much everyone I know is on o2, my £15 top ups every month just adds up my credit, I am currently over £270 in credit, this on top of the 10% extra they throw me everytime I top up that only adds up the credit even further.
I find myself deliberately entering competitions just to lower the credit, as the credit will continue to increase every Month. I could stop topping up for a while and let the credit run back down, but never really do.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
