Ltsb ppi refund

I took out 2 loans with lloyds and was mis-sold the PPI, using your template letter i created one which related directly to my problems, i then sent it off and within 10 days lloyds agreed to refund my PPI payments along with two lots of 8% interest, i just had to agree, sign the forms and send them back, it said payment would be processed within 28days.
Brilliant news for me so i quickly signed the forms and sent them back, and waited patiently as letter stated!!
After 28 days passed i called to say i had recieved nothing and they told me the calculations hadn't even been done!! They fobbed me off with another week, however by tuesday the week had passed so i called again.
calculations still have not been done!! Please call back friday if it has not been completed by then! is what i was told!
Well friday is tomorrow and still not had anything!!
please could someone give me advice on what to do/say tomorrow if it is still not completed?
Its been 6 weeks since i got the "28 days" letter and it doesn't look any closer to getting the money i am rightfully owed.

Hi there

I did leave you a post above on on the other thread as well....no worries though.;)

Lloyds have done this with most of us.

But what myself and others did was email them regularly and the Chief executive officer (CEO).
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

They never rush or they don't always seem to pay out when they say, I know its annoying.
However, I am aware they have huge backlogs as well.

Email them often, tell them you require your refund for ASAP, good luck.

So i called LTSB friday and asked to speak to a manager as they couldn't tell me anything, well the calculations hadn't been done!! But he said he was personally going to do them and i should recieve the break down middle of next week! once i have recieved that then it will be another 10-14days before i recieve anything!! meanwhile i have to pay yet another monthly repayment without the reductions for the ppi!!
What cant they just stick to what they say!! i will be calling them wednesday if i have not recieved the calculations and i will keep on till i get my money, its just so exhausting!!

Hi there

Cos you've been waiting far too long already where they keep stating they will send you the calculations, you could discreetly request they send by attachment email and when you email to ask them this copy it to the Chief Executive officer (CEO).

customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

Good luck.:)

Hi - I too had this problem with Lloyds a few months ago - although at that point they said 21 days. I left it for a further week then I sent emails to the addresses above that Di kindly provided. The money was in my account the following day. Three days later I received an email stating I had originally been misinformed about the time scale and by way of apology they had credited my bank account with an additional £50!

Also just wanted to say I have been successful in my 2nd claim to Lloyds, I sent the acceptance form back last week. They have stated it will take 28 days so I'll wait and see! Good luck with yours and hopefully it shouldn't be too much longer

second update-
i emailed to the addresses Di gave and recieved an email back saying calculations have now been done and i have to call to get figures as they could not attach to email for security reasons.
So i called them and they gave me figures and said it would be another 21 days before it will credit my account!!!
also the figures they gave me are a lot less than i thought, could someone work this out for me please because i want to check they are correct?

loan 1: Amount £3000 15.7% 48 Payments total £3986.88 monthly payments of £83.06
PPI £610.96 15.7% 48 Payments total £812.16 monthly repayments of £16.92

settled early after 12 months and recieved a rebate 0f £280.77 in respect of insurance preimum.
the said they would calculate difference between the settlement balance i paid and what it would of been had the PPI premium had not been added to loan,
then 8% on this sum from the day the loan was settled to todays date
and calculate what i had paid to cancellation dat and refund
then 8% per annum on each payment
then further 8% interest per annum from the date loan was settled (03/09/07) to todays date

Loan 2
Loan amount £5000 13.9% 36 monthly payments of £168.78 total amount payable £6076.08
ppi amount £890 13.9% 36 monthly payments of £30.06 total amount payable £1082.16

i have made 32 monthly payments

they said they would:
calculate a refund of the PPI monthly payments that i have paid to date
and calculate 8% per annum on each monthly payment

Also if you had read this would you think that they have agreed it was miss-sold to me? only because after todays phone call they stated they were only offering me a "good will" gesture but this is not stated in the letter they said they had agreed to do all of the above!!
please help im so confused!!!!

Hi there

Shame they could not send them out in writing for you by hardcopy post isn't it? You could ask if they could post them out for you if they are unable to email them to you perhaps.

Hopefully Robbedofmymoney will be here at some point and check this out for you, good luck.:);)
