Combi boiler - pressure slowly increasing - is this correct?

Thanks for the responses. I know my mother would be happier not to have BG back if she can avoid it. If someone would let me know how I can rectify this I should be very grateful.0

But you said that they didn't complete all the work that they were contracted to do?
Look for the flexible filling loop under the boiler.

This will have a smalll valve on it either with a handle to turn it on/off (like shown on the image on the link-the handle is at the top) or a valve that can be operated with a standard screwdriver. When the screwhead is pointing across (at 90 degrees to the pipe run direction) it's closed. When parallel to it, it's open. You will know when it's fully open as the water flow will be audible and the pressure will rise.
But since you don't know for sure that this is the cause of the pressure rise, you are advised to get BG back anyway after checking if the valve is closed. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Good morning: at this point you don't know what is causing the pressure rise and you are relying on comments made by anonymous parties on this forum. Your mom is paying a premium every month to BG as insurance for this scenario...I don't understand why she is reluctant to use a service she has paid for?

My mother doesn't like letting in people she doesn't know, even BG, but reading your comments, I am not going to tackle this myself. She will have to get BG back out to investigate. Thank you so much for your help.0
