My car insurance has shot up this year and cant understand why.
I had to change my car earlier this year other one finally gave up but this new car is 5 groups lower than last so thought this may bring down couple quid not put it up.
The only other change is i got married this year but didnt think that would put price up either.
Have searched lots off different sites and all quoting me at least £200 pound more than last year
Has anyone any idea ?????

Motor insurance is seeing a big increase in premiums over the last 12 months as insurers try and make there motor books profiable which most are not at the moment. This is down to a number of factors but fraudulent claims and a rise in personal injury claims are certainly big factors.
As for your own circumstances a lower group car does not necessarily mean its going to be cheaper, I asssume the car is newer as this will have a big impact on your premium.0
