Car insurance monthly

:THello All, I'm new here. I know that a lot has been said regarding monthly payments about car insurance. High APR charges for the privilege etc. I was lucky, in that I did find a 0% interest deal on monthly insurance for privelige insurance. I thought (initally!) that this was a permanent offer, and that it applied every year. When I went back to renew last year I found that it was a one year deal only. No mention on the web site - very sneaky!. I'm about to renew my insurance for another year and have come across a new provider for 0% interest monthly. More than Premier..When I put my details in and got the quote, on the payment options, it mentioned monthly dd, and there was NO additional charge mentioned for doing so. It gave the charges for each month, and I checked the sums. It seems to work! Strangely though the standard more than site charges an APR of 21%!. Weird. More than premier is for more high value cars, I drive a TT quattro, but not sure what the minimum value for use of this would be. Will keep posted!

Yep and it's a pain in the backside! Wrong IMO but it seems the way it is these days

I don't really see the relevance of just searching for a 0% deal. It's the total cost over the year that counts. You could be paying 21% interest on a different policy for monthy DD, however, if the actual premium is 30% less then you're missing out on a good deal. You need to make sure you're just comparing total costs.

Good luck getting a good deal. Just had our house insurance renewal through and they increased it by 61% over last year's premium. One quick phone call and half an hour on a comparison site and I've saved myself £300.

Update - 6 months on. Applied for insurance through more than premier. Works a treat! Now have insurance at 0% APR, and far easier to pay than having to set up 0% credit card etc! Top marks more than premier!
