Mobile Phone Insurance - NATWEST TERRIBLE

Hello All,

I have a iphone and thought i would be covered with natwest free mobile insurance which I pay as an advantage gold customer but how wrong I was!! They are possibly the worst people I could have chose to look after this.

Anyway, I now want to change my mobile phone insurance so a decent insurance company....does any one know any??

cheers

  • I've got the Natwest Insurance for my iphone, although I've not had to claim. Can you tell me why you think they're so bad, I'm a bit worried now.

By the way. Most of the banks that offer such cover, have nothing to do with the actual Insurance admin or claims. They just buy the cover in bulk and add it to your banking package.

Suggest that you enter into the complaints process of the company that is handling the claim and that you notify NatWest of the problem you have had.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Thanks Huckster, I'm going down that road and hopefully if enough people do the same natwest will consider supporting their clients rather than a insurance company.

cosmetic junkie - basically i dropped the iphone (which to be fair I have done loads) but the screen smashed, it still worked but it had cracks up and down it so i thought I'd use my natwest insurance. did the claim, it was approved and therefore i had to send the phone off (with my own money) to be told it takes a week to repair. I eventually got my phone back after 3 weeks (in the mean time using my v old samsung) to find that although the screen had been replaced, the was a new crack up the back and from where the battery goes in mean ing I could not charge the phone. Rang them up and they said sorry about that and just to send the phone back again with my own money and they would look at it. Its now been 2 months and they are basically saying i need to pay another excess to claim. So they have basically made my phone worse and I have to pay for it.

To be fair my sister did warn me I should have proper phone insurance not the bank which is terrible, the proper insurance would have let me collect a phone the same day.

its true you get what you pay for!
