Argos refund warning - plse take note

Options
Just to warn fellow MSE friends. Be careful if you shop at Argos. My local store is fab at accepting refunds but my parents' local store in Spalding is the opposite. We found they would not accept a genuine item for refund and their customer service was poor. My parents have lost £40 for no good reason.

Suggest that you escalate and complain to Sara Weller, ARGOS Managing Director, via sending her an email at sara.weller@argos.co.uk.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Suggest you read the other threads before giving out useless advice. There's nothing to escalate, the OP is in the wrong!

The OP bought a gazebo, unpacked it, put it up, decided it wasn't strong enough to withstand winds - what were they expecting.. a shed? and tried to take it back in what the manager decided was an unacceptable condition.

People in the original thread weighed in pointing out she had no legal right to a refund, at which she accused everyone of secretly working for Argos. Because they have spies everywhere, you know. You could be working for Argos and NOT EVEN KNOW IT! Sleeper agents, perhaps.

And this is at least the third thread she's posted about this. As Albert Einstein said, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANY FUTURE POSTS FROM ANYBODY ACTUALLY IN AGREEMENT WITH ME BUT I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH MY TIME THAN ARGUE OVER A GAZEBO SO WON'T REPLY ANY MORE. LIFE'S TOO SHORT.... PLUS THE LAUNDRY PILE AWAITS. HAVE A GOOD DAY ALL :)

Better things to do like... start another two threads on the same subject.

  • Oh dear, OP did not get their absolution then

Pity that, and even with our Google expert, Marc, it did not happen
