Fair charge IMO, the joys of car mechanics.
If they'd done the job for free and compensated you for down time they'd still be abused by some here...those who's glass is always half empty.0 -

Would it not be the case that if the bolt broke whilst they tried to remove it that the customer would bear the cost of the work (assuming there was no neglect by the mechanic) but if they damage it during refitting it is down to the garage?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"
