Stupid question I know....I want a cheaper ISP (am currently with"Tiscali"). My e mail address is my name @tiscali etc.
With a new provider I will have to have a new address right?
Its just that i am registered at lots of places with this address and its going to be a right job to change it all. This is the only reason I havent swiched so far.

I was with Tiscali years ago and my email account with them still seems to work. Your safest bet though would be to create a Gmail account and migrate to that.0

This question comes up several times a week.
Create a Gmail acount-10 minutes. This can then be set up to downoad into your desktop email program (Outlook Express, Windows Mail etc using POP3) if you prefer that to using webmail.
Group email to all your contacts-10 mins.
Change email address on your various accounts-maybe 1 to 2 hours.
Once you've done that, you can change ISP as often as you like.
If you can't find the time, then you are stuck with Tiscali forever. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Get an email address from one of the many free email providers and you will not have this problem again next time you want to change.Create a Gmail acount-10 minutes. Why would anybody use POP3 when IMAP is available?0 -
Thankyou for your responses. I have opened a G mail account as suggested.
Now that I have opened the new account I have another question. How do I get the G mail account into Outlook and can I have that and my exisitng Tiscali e mail account both in Outlook at the same time?
Thankyou.0 -
Yes you can. Enable POP3 or IMAP mail in your GMail account under Settings and then use the instructions in the help menus to set up Gmail to download into Outlook. There are detailed guides for all the main desktop email programs. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

For those suggesting GMAIL, be aware that Google actually searches your emails to suggest adverts. GMX.com doesn't and gives the same service.0
