Average Cost of Gas and Electric for two people in a one bed flat

Hi, this is my first post,

I'm budgeting for when my wife and I move into a one bedroom flat in Swansea in January.

I am trying to find out what I should expect to pay for utilities, gas and/or electric.

Could anyone give me an estimate. It's likely that we'll be out most of the days and in most of the evenings and nights.

That really is a 'how long is a piece of string' question! especially as you say 'gas and/or electric'

Much depends on the insulation of the flat and, if you have gas, the efficiency of the boiler.

With gas if you are careful with heating perhaps £50 to £60 a month for gas/elect. With all elect up to double that figure.

At the very least you need to say how the flat is heated and how the hot water is supplied.
