Hi, can anyone shed any light on this? I've come home to a letter from the above telling me they are collecting a debt from FCE bank for £523.67. Who are they, and who are FCE bank??!! Not a clue!
Thanks in advance

Hi
Hubby had an old CO-OP loan which he never paid back. DLC took the loan over and he hadto set up a payment agreement of £150 to pay it back. DLC kept phoning him asking him to pay it off (he had mentioned to them about him re-mortgaging his house !). He was getting phone calls every day after that. In the end he paid it off but they didnt accept a reduced full and final settlement figure , they wanted the whole lot.
Check on your Experian file to see who FCE bank are.Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car

Hi Mizz Pink, and thankyou. I've googled it, and it's Ford Credit. It's for excess mileage, and when they wrote asking for it a couple of weeks ago, it was £280ish, so god only knows how it's almost doubled in a fortnight!! Well, they can have what I can give them, when I have it.
Thanks again!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
Thats a lot to pay! I found hubbys original paperwork for the loan and it was £500, he ended up paying over £5,000. NightmareJust owe Dad £2500 for a new car

I know, 6p a mile doesn't seem much when you sign up for one of these daft Options things.... I had a job where I didn't do much mileage, then upped my hours, meaning more driving, and got a new DP with kids living 25 miles away who we drive to pick up/see once, sometimes twice weekly, so it shot up! Aaaaaargh!! Anyway, they wouldn't give me credit for a new car so I got a much nicer one elsewhere, thankyou Ford!
Thankyou again.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I wrote to direct legal and collections asking them to confirm to whom the original debt was owed, to provide me with a copy of the original signed loan agreement and the notice of assignment, and sent the pound fee. This morning I get a letter from another "solicitors" saying direct legal and collections have instructed them to recover the debt. What the hell do I do now??
The new solicitor's address is the same PO Box number as direct legal.
Help please!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Oh I'm more than familiar with it!! Should I send another letter, enclosing a copy of the last one I sent? Blimming cross, and fed up!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

DLC are terrible, they would not provide anything I asked them for, so I wrote to them on headed solicitors paper - my friend owns a firm
They quickly provided everything and when we replied due to them messing us around for 8 months, we would only pay 50% of the original debt and none of their fees they accepted.0 -
That's interesting info Keith, thankyou. I don't know any solicitors so I'll just have to be firm and stand up for myself. Just wish I'd got my finger out and paid Ford now!!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
