Hi everone,
I had a bank loan from 1998 and a credit card also that had ppi on both, however when i became ill with depression in 1999 they both refused to help, citing stress related illness not covered. i've been paying off the debt ever since because of a dca, and wonder if i have a chance to put in a claim for the ppi being mis sold on both??? i have the aggreement no of the loan and card number for the credit card, but no details of how much ppi was on either of them.. can anyone advise me on this please, i got ripped off in all essence and how would i find out the ppi amounts if i could claim??, as i dont have any details of the amounts
both were with Lloyds TSB

Hi and welcome
I would give it a go, and at least you still have the account number.
You still pursue this with Lloyds, and not the DCA, but please be aware if there is still debt, its possible the refund will be awarded towards the debt, and anything remaining plus interest should be refunded directly to you.
So either complete the FOS questionnaire, you will see this on the link below further as stage one, these are in replacement of the first template letter, remember to keep a copy in case you need to refer to it later on.

Or you can write a letter in your own words, ask for a full refund of all ppi paid, plus interest, and tell them when you tried making a claim in previous years it did not pay out, so therefore this policyis worthless to you and its put you out of pocket, and you have been deprived of your money due to this reason.
(And of course if have not helped and is added to the debt of the loan).
Then make them aware they have 8 weeks to respond with a decision, and state that if this is not resolved in your favour, you will consider taking further action with either the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) or small claims court.
(The FOS are a free service).
Hope this helps, good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi there and welcome. You are in the right place here and will get all the help you need. You can use the template letter from this site
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
this also tells you reasons you may have been mis sold.
If you feel better writing your own letter then that is ok. Make sure you put both account numbers on and if you have moved since taking these out then put that address as well as your present one.The letter doesnt have to be the magna carta, just put you believe you were mis sold ppi on both of these accounts, then put your reasons why.And you want ppi back that you have paid to date with interest plus 8% and the accounts restating as they would have been without the ppi.(as your accounts have been passed over your win will help reduce this, ( but you need your payments reduced to reflect the restated accounts as you may still owe them and your payments will reduce ) It is as easy as that
send the letter recorded and please let us know how you get on and if you need anymore help just yell :rotfl: 0
