  • Amazon mentions intercom

But the manual doesn't mention it: http://www.homelinecorporate.com/homeline/Files/bt_freestyle_3200.pdf

Shall I just accept it doesn't have an intercom?

intercom == internal calls?? Page 22 of the PDF you linked to.

    Making internal calls
If you purchased a BT Freestyle 3200 multi-pack, you
can make internal calls between handsets.
    1. Press then or until the display shows Internal.
    2. Press and enter the number of the handset you want
to call. The other handset will ring and display your
handset number to let the handset user know who is
calling. When the other handset answers hold your
    conversation as normal.
    3. Press to end the call.

(edit - a couple of the keyboard symbols didn't cut&paste)

Got my phones yesterday - but have been charged £99 instead of 39.99 - in fact the confirmation email said £99 too.

    Gutted

If you want cheap new dect phones, ebay is the place look. Don't know where they all come from but they're new & cheap. I've bought several as the average life of one of these phones seems to be about 2 years. Last (single) one I bought was a BT studio 1500 dect with answerphone for £7 delivered..

Nope. There are so many of these phones being auctioned that if you pick an auction that ends when not may people are on line (middle of a weekday, say) you can get them for a very good price.

I checked, and I actually paid just under £8. Here's the auction:

mods please note - it's an ended auction mor infromation only.

    dc2447,

Have you tried BT Shop's Price Promise?
If you can find any BT branded item offered for a lower price (excl. delivery charges) within 7 days of purchase, then BT will refund Double The Difference - this will come in the form of a voucher to be spent in any BT Shop.

    A cheaper alternative is:
    http://www.xfast.co.uk/index.php?mod=catalogue&func=view&productID=FREESTYLE3200QUAD&catalogue_key=BM

    The difference is: £99.99-£64.27 = £35.72
    Double The Difference = £71.44

Worth a shot if you can't get a refund any other way?
