My computer is slowing down, and I have noticed I only have 1.1 gig of space left on the hard drive. I have treesized it and found dllcache in windows system 32 taking up 450MB of space. What is it and what should I do???

It's a folder containing copies of important Windows files. You can set a maximum size for it - see http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/wfp/print.shtml
Try https://www.ccleaner.com to free up disk space. Also Disk Cleanup in System Tools to delete all but the most recent system restore point (assuming you won't need the older restore points).0 -

Leave well alone. delete any old programs or files you no longer need, back up any documents you want to keep to cd or dvd to increase space. Windows will get slower the less space is on it, you could always add another hard drive and copy any music, documents , pictures ect to that to free spaceI have nothing better to do!!!!

chippy, ran ccleaner already and dsik cleaner found no extra space.
startrekker, thanks for advising me to remove nothing cos reading techspot blew my mind! It might as well have been written in Chinese. All my downloads, music etc are saved on a partitioned drive so I don't understand where all the space has gone. THere's usually about 1.7 gigiEven if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0 -
