Parking sensors tip

I have just bought a car (07 reg) and asked about parking sensors. The dealer said that he would put them in for free as part of the deal. You have to pay about £100 for a kit plus fitting cost so I was glad I asked. Worth trying if you're buying.

which means the dealer is making enough on the price to easily cover this0 -

You would have done better to have negotiated the price of the car down, why on earth would anybody need parking sensors?0 -

i often drive a 5.5mtr van with no rear view other than wing mirrors. I can park it in spaces with 2ft of manouvering space, no sensors, no view, just experience.
I was taught by a very experienced HGV driver and the best advice is to reverse in as it is safer and easier to drive out head first:A R.I.P. Dave "Simmo" Stimpson.....:AA friend, A Gentleman, and a Damn good pool player. You will be missedone in prison, not long enough0 -
Features like hill hold and auto parallel park are more interesting and useful than just a beep. I would agree these features make drivers lazy and are things that should be easy enough for any experienced driver to do though, but then you're getting onto a manual vs. automatic gearbox type debate

All you doomsayers should be grateful that my wife has parking sensors on her car when she parks near you!
