Hi all
I have the following laptop:
ASUS X58L
that I want to connect to my LG 42" flatscreen. However, this Lappy doesn't have an HDMI output, so how can I connect it up for picture and sound?
Thanks all.

You need a VGA cable (blue end) for video

and a 3.5mm extension lead for sound
http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-Jack-Plug-1-2M/dp/B00077DC3S/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282744100&sr=8-2
That's about it.If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0 -
You'll need to use the VGA out on the laptop to the VGA in on your television for the video, and a lead with a 3.5mm stereo jack plug on each end to connect your laptops headphone socket to the audio input socket on your television.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

But what if the TV only has composite input ??Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Then you can either use this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/1-5m-VGA-Component-Cable-Laptop/dp/B002NPZSSO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282747207&sr=8-1 if you have HD component inputs this for sound http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Phono-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B000Q6LSVS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1282747207&sr=8-5If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button!
