They do bloods at CD21 or 7DPO to check if you ov'd. OPKs will tell you if you are going to ov, but some don't ov after that.

They do another one at CD2,3 which is for general things like hormones:)

Thank you, that makes sense, i'm now hoping that the tests might help me as im so irregular. I'll be CD17 when I go to see GP on Tuesday, and my OPK sticks arrived today so hopefully I'll have some results to show her. Just worried they won't do anything as it's only my first visit re. family planning/fertility.

Anyone had any experience with this?
  • :D i got a tlp on wed morning, still not feeling real.

I can't imagine how you must be feeling, It must be so overwhelming after all your time trying. (As well as scary I should imagine). Really happy for you :)
  • My last cycle i got to CD58, was hoping for the best but it wasn't to be. Im finding it really difficult to figure out ov etc when AF is irregular. Hope it settles down into a predictable routine for you Charlie.

    Thanks Welshpolarbear.

Are your cycles normally that long?

hey welshpolarbear looks like we've been TTC the same time! August 2010. :) i've not got much experience with going to Dr's about TTC, but have heard its best to stretch the truth a wee bit about how long you've been TTC - if you tell them over a year, as they will offer more treatment should you need it. if you say any time under a year its considered totally normal to take up to a year so you won't get as much help.

congrats again little angel must be lovely to see it in black & white!

hope i can join you lucky ladies with a bfp this month!! :j xxx
