  • Good day ladies :)

seems a lot of us are trying Soy at the moment. My expereices have been an extremely long cycle with ov CD76, then this cycle (took a higher dosage) and I'm just in limbo - think I'm 10dpo but could be 7dpo, with ov CD21 or CD24 which for me is FANTASTIC :) I didn't have many other symptoms last month but this month got lots of EWCM, got a few niggles and pains around possible ov days and can you bleeive (I'm so excited about this) sore boobs which I haven't felt since May when I was on the pill, I'm hoping my body is now getting back to normal and soy has hleped to regulate my cycles. I'll be tentatively watching to see how others get on with it too :)

Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm today, 5 inch of snow here overnight, still I had to walk to work though :(

CD15 and a def negative on the opk so maybe thinking those faint lines the other day were poss ov! will test for another few days and just wait!!!
  • jules, be sure not to miss ov by thinking faint lines are positives, I'd carry on testing as I did this in my first cycle using opk's and actually ov'd 10 days after the faint lines and completely missed timing with bd. Hope you have ov'd, are you temping?

Well my opk's are getting darker again, I did get a positive on CD20 but carried on testing as I've never ov'd before CD32 before and didn't quite believe it, so anyway, the last 2 days they have been faint, but there, and just done one with weak, not held! pee, and it too has a faint line, I'm preying that I did actually ov and this may be the start of my bfp, but highly doubt it and think ov may finaly be on its way! limbo land is great.....................not!

very quiet on here today.............hope everyone has kepted safe out and about!

Am not temping but will give it a go maybe next month, prob is I would forget to do it and also when I go back to work, I work nights so would put temp out. Will carry on testing, but may not be oving as I have got PCOS so some months there is nowt!! Do you think the dearer opk from tesco/asda are better then the cheapy ones?
  • Supposing one was going to a christmas party on saturday and wanted to test to see if we are pregnant beforehand

Would it be totally ridiculous to test 6 days before AF is due to see?

Wondering if one is over optomistic and therefore hoping for something that isnt going to happen and therefore making excuses to test early

Hmmm... Sounds a bit too early to me..! I don't think you would have enough pg hormone in your body even if you were pg, to be honest.

Personally, I would go. I am going out for a meal and a few drinks on Saturday night and i'm testing Sunday morning (if AF hasn't arrived). I will not drink myself silly on saturday but I will have a couple (3/4) and won't worry too much. I know that's easy for me to say BUT the way I look at it is: thousands of women are pregnant and carry on without realising until they are 5/6/7+ weeks. A close friend of mine had no idea she was 6 wks pg, went out for drinks, found out the next morning when she was being sick...! Doctor said everything would be fine and it was. The bottom line is, your body will know if something isn't right and you won't 'feel like' a drink or you'll know when you've had enough.
THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION BY THE WAY :o I guess I am just trying to be as relaxed as possible right now. If it's meant to be, it will be and whether I decide to go to one party or not, won't make a difference! That doesn't mean to say have a glass of wine every night, get p*ssed every weekend, etc...!

Ok, I'm rambling now.:o I just don't want to be judged but I do think that the relaxed approach is a good place to start....

Leaving aside the fact that I don't drink anyway so it doesn't apply to me, I totally agree with you.

    Thank you :)

I am so unsure of what to do, this time last year my friend was at the same party, got smashed, went home with a guy, 1 week later found out she was a month pregnant and the baby is perfect.

Half of me says that i should go and have fun and drink moderately and forget about it

the other half is screaming for a bean and just wants to know

Six days early is probably too early to get a positive anyway so you probably wouldn't really "know" anyway even if you did a test.

  • jules - I've found a seller on ebay I like, I have tried different opk's but prefer these and now buy from her each time, its just a case of finding the ones you like I think, mine are the darker green handled ones, not the lighter green!!!

puzzled - I'm in the same boat, work Christmas do on Friday and I wouldn't want to go and get lethered if was early pregnant, think I'm gona test Fri am, I'll be 13dpo then, good luck :) I agree wiht smash though a few drinks this early on can't hurt! surely, although if I did test positive I would avoid drinking and am tempted too even if not bfp!
