  • mind if i join you ladies and any gents?

Ive made the decision to come off the pill and at some point next year start trying for a baby, now my oh works away for 4 months sometimes more at a time and im very overweight so have restarted weight watchers yet again so that in the hope when he is back home i will have lost a couple of stone and he can then make the decision to use condoms or not as i will not be doing anything to prevent a pregnancy so the ball is in his court.

I want a baby so badly, Im always broody but although he wants a family and it has been discussed he always wants to wait. he wants to wait till debt has been cleared (will be fully paid by may next year) he wants to wait till we have our own house, he wants to wait till we have x in the bank, its just never ending an always about money with him and he doesnt get that we dont need to worry about that as we take home a decent amount of money a month compared to our peers and a mortgage is not a problem, but im soon to be 25 and he is 26 and i dont want us to be older parents if we can help it. if nature takes its course then great, if not well then there are other options so wont rule anything out.

im going to start learning how to track my cycle as i have never been regular and for me it was normal to have a 40 day cycle and bleed heavily for a week, but the pill put paid to that and ive been on it for just over 10 years so its time to give my body a proper break and start working everything out.

    good luck to everyone

  • Welcome seafarers!!!

QQuaver will be along to register you on the list of TTC folk but in the meantime no doubt you will learn a whole load of stuff from us mad women!!! (speaking for myself!!")

I was on the pill for about 7 years and had no idea what to expect from my AF so being on this thread taught me that you can have ov pains, swolleness and all sorts of other symptoms to determine ovulation so the next few months will be a great learnign curve for you!!! I hope you enjoy it and I really hope your successful with WW too!!!

DH has woken up with terrible cold and sore throat this morning which means no action for me for the next few days. So not at all hopeful this month. Plus I can guarantee I'll get it later this week too. Boo!
    Hope you don't catch it:o

My car broke down this morning so I am working from home. Its a complete nightmare! I have to organise a hire car for the next week because I can't get to work otherwise, so looks like I'll be down about £500 by the time its all done with. So annoying...
Sorry for your car breaking down, it's these times when on realises how much we rely on cars:o

    4. I started charting temps (only in a notebook for now) but it doesn't tell me much after 5 days. It'll probably take a few months to get used to it and really hope I don't make it that far!
    www.fertilityfriend.com is good for charting:)

I need to stop the pineapple juice (too much sugar), so I'm going to move to the evening primrose oil. Is it just as simple as taking 1 every day until bfp? Sorry for the daft questions, but I'm still amazed about how much I've learned over the last few months.... :rotfl:

Mentioned pre-seed again last night to OH for next cycle, and I guess I didn't explain well before, as although I'd said it would help his swimmers on their way, he thought it was another vitamin for him to take (as well as the zinc tablets). Now that could have gone very very wrong..... :rotfl:
I'm feeling the effects of pineapple sugar:p I've given up eating choccies & doritos though.
I've never taken EPO but it says 1500mg-3000mg/day until ov:http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/evening-primrose.html

I've finally managed to get my OH to start taking vitamins. It's been an uphill struggle i can tell you. Though he was complaining that he didn't feel very energetic last night and on the box it says they give you energy - he's only been taking them 4-5 days! men!
My DH does take them every morning, but doesn't take it on work trips:mad: He took them this time though, I said are you taking your vits? He said nah, I said whatever, he took the vitamins.
    It works:p

Can't stop thinking why won't my stupid body work!!! Feeling very tearful today which I don't usually feel must just be the disappointment I'm feeling!!!

I like most feel the same about wishing the months away and I'm determined to find something to take my mind off it this month! I want to feel after i've switched the CBFM off each morning I can move on woth the rest of the day and i'm finding exceptionally hard to do this each month!!! Pleeeeeaaaaasssseee give me some advice or even suggestions as I have a week off coming up in Mid Nov!!!

OK rant over!!! PMA back, happy cheery!!! :j

dont worry! i was feeling a bit like you the other day, but you havent been trying long.
the way i look at it is how my big sis fell pregnant after her wedding, she spent an hour after every BD with her legs in the air, twice a day no less and it took her 3 months. My logic is that me and hubby regularly BD every second day, so it could take a year!

Dont get stressed about it, that just makes it worse
in fact were just about the same for length of trying.
also im only on cd4 so pretty close cycle wise
  • Well I've ordered a new box of cbfm sticks although did argue with oh as he doesnt quite believe af has started!

Also bought some Venus razors I thought I might aswell shave my legs if I want some bd'ing!
I've calculated that this should be my short month as I seem to ov early 1 month then have an average month! 

Just nipped out to Asda for the Evening Primrose Oil and they had the sanatogen mother to be tablets on offer again. The 30 days pack is £5, but the 90 pack is £6 :D
I've picked up another 2 packs. I figure as I'm not pg yet, I'll need them sooner or later........
