    Me me me!!!:o

I have PCOS and DH has only 1% normal morphology (99% abnormal), and his motility is well below the norm (22% instead of 50%) and vitality was 33% (normal 50%).

It varies from sample to sample, but always consistently on the low side. He took 1/2 tab of clomid for few months, and it doubled his count meaning double everything:cool:

There are other things he could eat to bring his swimmers up, like zinc, vitamin E and brazil nuts.

As long as there were some swimmers, you are still in the game:cool:

    Thanks QQ.

I thought he could probably pop a pill or something :)

I don't know. Nothing's ever simple is it.

I feel like I'm in limbo at the moment.....

I'm still waiting for my biopsy results which mean I shouldn't be trying to conceive until I get the all clear. Although we have been having unprotected BD as the chances of actually getting PG appear pretty slim lol.

Hubbies just had his op so he'll be out of action for at least a month (maybe even more).

I'm not ovulating and will need to lose A LOT of weight or go private to get clomid.

Ah well just think PMA - at least I can take advantage of all the "free" alcohol on our all inclusive holiday at the end of August and whilst we're not PG we're able to put a fair amount of money into savings.

:( CD1 for me today! To be honest, I wasn't really expecting it to be a BFP this month as Moon and I only managed to BD twice, and I don't think we did it enough at the vital time. Still, on a positive, the next time we start tying, it'll be the summer holidays, so hopefully I'll be less stressed, and we can relax a bit more about it. Also, the baby would've been due at the end of March, and both our Mums have their bdays in March, so this way we may have a wedding anniverary baby and the baby will have it's own birthday month!

Meant to say, congratulations to mishka and Newyear!

Pleased to hear you're getting treated QQ.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

hi everyone, hope you've had a good day. Its FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY! :j :j :j

Feeling v depressed though for no apparent reason (prob AF hormones) and the start of the rain hasn't helped. Why would it start just as I get home, why?!

Glad you're feeling a bit better QQ, shame about no BDing though :o Hopefully you won't miss ov. You obviously went at the BDing with too much gusto....! ;) (sorry!)

Congrats Mishka and Newyear, looks as though 2x BFPs are just around the corner :T I read that comment by fannyanna as "you'll be big and fat" too...! :rotfl:

Sorry fannyanna to hear about your DH's sperm results. Bet he loves having it discussed by a bunch of strange (that being the operative word!) women on here...! :D I don't know anything about it but just remember that there are millions of sperm in each "deposit"(!) and it only takes one brave little soldier... :)

Oh man, someone tell me to pull myself together. I feel so crap right now! I really wanted to tell my friend everything at work today, but stopped myself for fear of sounding like a crazy lady. The thing is, I was sure that I ovulated - I had high cervix for several days, plenty of ewcm for several days, and had lots of times where I had what felt like ov pains (although clearly not as in theory you only get ov pain once, for a few hours), but I still didn't ov! Was it ghost ov, or what?! Today I haven't got any ewcm anymore, but I do have lots of bright white cm - !!!!!!?! Never had that before, usually it's more creamy but today its bright bright white. Worried I've got an infection :o plus I'm still getting little ov pains on and off, so I'm paranoid I might still be about to ov, so better keep jumping DH!

Jesus, I DO sound like a crazy lady! I've never got stressed out about this before, and I know it won't help...so I'll stop now :o Sorry guys... If ever I needed a glass of wine, it was now!

My friend's wife just had a baby and the photos are on facebook...awwwww. So so cute. :)

Right, I'm off to the gym shortly, so better go get ready. Hopefully the endorphins will make me feel better! :j

  • Hi all, just wanted to quickly say that after his second SA results DH pretty much gave up alcohol (limiting to just a few units on special occasions and the very occasional beer) and greatly reduced his caffeine intake (from maybe 10 cups of tea a day to 2 cups a day).

Last week had his 3rd SA results back. The volume was about the same, but the count had gone from 32mil to 80mil in just a few months, and % normal motility and morphology had doubled. He has made no other changes whatsoever, oh apart from buying some slightly looser boxer shorts.

Giving up caffeine and alcohol might not be fun but it definitely seems to work and is worth it if it helps get the BFP. You just need to convince your OHs of that! Which might be extremely difficult when on an all inclusive holiday...

Yay for your DH's SA musttryharder - have broken the bad news to my DH that he has to start drinking decaff tea and only having 2 real teas a day!
