    Hiya,

I went to the doctors yesterday who has given me norethisterone to regulate my cycle. She said it's usually for people with heavy periods but you take it like a pill so three weeks on and one week off when I should bleed. So i've got that for a couple of months to see if if helps. She did warn me of the side effects and I prob shouldn't have googled it cause it doesn't sound great!

Poor you Charlie, bodies are rubbish sometimes aren't they?! :o I've taken noris-whatsitsname before, but in my case it was to delay my AF. Basically my doc took pity on me as I'd had nearly a year of a 14 day cycle, 7 days of which were AF, so one week on, one week off! I was getting married and then going straight on 2 weeks honeymoon, so she gave that to me to stop me having AF :D (Then I went on the mini pill straight after).

Hello! Back again!!! Sorry to be a pain but I have a question! Do you only get EWCM near OV? If so when does OV occur in relation to the EWCM? Here I am on CD30 and have just seen what looks suspiciously like it to me!!! OH was on nights last night and is again tonight so no BDing till tomorrow night, I hope if it is OV that tom night won't be too late!!! Ooooh its all so confusing!!

Don't quote me on this but I think some people get EWCM just before AF too.... :o But if you haven't ov'd yet, it could well be ov - I've not ov'd until 30-odd days before! Can you BD before OH goes to work tonight? ;)

    Hi Everyone,

It is very nice to meet you all :)

I want to start trying on my 30th Birthday which is not until the end of this year. I'm giving myself and my OH time to get our heads around it all as it will be the first for us both.

I have looked at some of the thread, but there are so many posts it just boggled my mind! What I would like to know is how can I best prepare myself for TTC?

What is best to eat/drink/take? For me and for OH?

What can we do to improve our chances of conceiving?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have not been able to find it.

I'm very new to all the abbreviations so please bare with me.

    Chooch

    Hi Chooch!
    Welcome :)
I think the generally accepted things to do are:
    - lose weight if you're overweight
    - cut down on alcohol consumption
    - eat a healthy diet (just a nice, balanced diet with lots of wholegrains and F&V)
    - do some exercise if you don't already
    - 3 months before you start trying, start taking folic acid
    - get lots of BD practice in....! :D

    CONGRATULATIONS always alone! :T

Sounds promising Miska - maybe leave it another day and do another IC first thing tomorrow? False positives are rare so be cautiously optimistic...! :) Fingers crossed.

Well, CD23 and I've possibly ov'd...had a bit of a temp rise today - not as abrupt as some people, but very similar to my last cycle, where my temp rose, then rose further the following day. So we'll see tomorrow. Didn't BD yest, unfortunately, as DH's love-sacks were still sore :rotfl: :o but did first thing this morning so hopefully if it was ov, have caught it :p

Day off work today and no fixed plans until this evening - lovely :j Going to potter in the garden and possibly go out for lunch.

Have a nice day all! :)

    BB x

Aaaarghh, not TTC related but I need to tell someone this and DH is in bed!! I think I mentioned the other day that we have a big announcement at work today. Well our department manager emailed earlier and said she'd like us all to meet in her office afterwards to discuss how it would affect us all. I replied to say I could be there and she replied saying depending on what is announced she'll probably be asking me to stay behind for a 1 to 1 to discuss a personal plan for me!!!! Me thinks she knows something and although it's kind of what I was expecting its still a bit of a worry!!! I have a contact in another department who keeps hinting he may have a job for me, best have a word I think!!!

Nothing to report TTC wise, CD31, no sign of AF, no more EWCM so think that might have been something and nothing!

Oh my god just found out I passed my professional exams!! I am actually shaking with adrenaline, this is such a huge deal for me and means so much :)

Also it means that there really is nothing in the world now to stop me and my DH starting a family :D (apart from the biological necessaries!)

Sorry, not remotely TTC related but just have to share with the world! :j

Hi everyone & congrats on the BFP's :)

Still waiting on DH's SA results, it's been 2 weeks now, spoke to the Drs on Monday and they were going to chase but not heard anything since then  Going in for my 21 day bloods on Tuesday. It was my 1 year anniversary of not taking the pill on Tuesday gone, feeling a bit down in the dumps but trying to pick myself up.

Quick question, some months do people not want to BD, just so you know for definate they you'll not be SS and waiting on that BFP? This month i've found it really difficult to get in the right mood to BD for this reason, but i have carried on and stuck a smile on my face-my poor DH :)

Take care & SBD to all x

A newbie to the TTC forum.

Last month was our first go and it was a BFN. We're using CBFM and could only BD on day 1 and 2 of my highs (not peaks) and a I had a total of 5 highs and then 2 peaks, so I wasn't suprised it was a BFN - just disappointed.

Of course the entine 2ww, I symptom spotted, and was CONVINCED I was pregnant for at least 4 days, then woke up one day utterly convinced I wasnt!

Its a bizarre old world, this TTC is!

*babydust and luck to all* :D

Was your pee a bit diluted today?
    Why not try again tomorrow?
Perhaps get a cheaper store brand ones? (They are more sensitive than Clearblue)
    Fingers crossed:o

thanks for all the support guys :A

The test yesterday was FMU using a poundland cheapy, 2nd one was 2nd pee of the day and another cheapy, todays was FMU with a cheapy.

Ive shown OH the 'positive' and its clearly there - but im now getting upset tummy and cramps so i guess it was just a random rare false positive :( and the witch is on her way ???

hello to the newbies, and congratulations on everyones good news in all areas.
