Broken Laptop - Who's liable? Retailer or Manufacturer?

My two year old laptop has gone bust. Quite expensive as i spent over £600 on it. I have contacted the manufacturer who told me under the sale of goods act that the retailer is the one i should be complaining too. The retailer says that its vice versa and its the manufacturer i should be complaning too.
Under the sale of goods act - who should i be complaining to and are they liable?
thanks

Your contract is with the retailer.
Any cover would be under the SOGA, which is not a guarantee or a licence for refund
