As I said in the other thread:-
You have to understand the difference between debt-collectors and bailiffs.Debt collectors are just private citizens with no special powers. They cannot enter your property, they cannot seize goods and they cannot blacken your credit record over an alleged parking ticket. In the remote possibly that they do come calling, tell them to go away or you will call the police.
Bailiffs are "officers of the court". They only come on the scene if the case goes to court (very unlikely), you lose (very, very unlikely) and you refuse to pay whatever the judge orders. This is so remote that it can be discounted.
And please stop calling it a "fine". it's not, it's an invoice. Only the courts, the police and councils can impose fines, private citizens can not. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Bailiffs can only turn up after ALL the following happens:
1 Euro take you to court [impossible as they never do court]
2 They win
3 You still refuse to pay.
Then and only then can a bailiff become involved. Don't confuse bailiffs with debt collectors who have no powers whatsoever.

My ticket was from ECP as well, last year.
Believe me they are very tame and only send the predictable letters from CCS Collect shown on the sticky thread 'PPC letters/threats, what to expect'. No Court, no effect on credit rating, no phone calls, no bailiffs of course (as bailiffs only come into play after a Court case has been lost and the judgment is still ignored - that's simply not going to happen!).
I still park in that same car park and would happily overstay again if I were doing a big shop and having lunch in the Supermarket cafe - ticketing customers is pathetic and should be treated with the contempt the PPC deserves.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As usual, you ignore them and don't pay them a penny.Your case is no different to the many others featured on this forum. As for that "appeal", it's just a sham. it's not independent, and it's in their financial interest to turn down all such "appeals".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

You didn't need to write to them, waste of time, we could have told you what their response would be! Obviously they say no to all 'appeals' unless they want an example of an allowed appeal to show to the BPA or something (never seen one on any forums).
You should have just made a paper aeroplane out of the ticket and you still can of course! This Watchdog programme (link below) was shown in May this year and coincidentally the ticket in question was issued by MET in a McDonalds car park, same as yours, but the legal expert's advice applies to all private parking tickets:

Only take a parking ticket seriously if it comes from the Police or a Council. Simple.
