does working tax effect child tax ?

Hi all,


Currently my hubby is unemployed but hoping it wont be long before he gets somewhere, i currently get child tax credit for my daughter, when my husband does go back to work and starts claiming working tax will this effect the amount of child tax cred i get ?

  • Dont you get woking tax as you work? It is all mixed in but you may get separate payments. It really depends on your hours/pay etc.
    Tax credits is so difficult to work out.

    If you qualify for working tax credits you automatically get the full rate of child tax credit (which I believe is the same as if you are on certain benefits)
