well we already kinda have a list of free tools that are proven reliable and stand up in independent testing as well as just being 'free'
(3 good free anti virus programs and MalwareBytes / Hijack this for cleaning up infections -see the sticky)
Free stuff tends to be avoided until there is some indication / experience / independent testing that demonstrates its not useless junk.
