I so miss David Morgans. I can`t find anywhere where I can have a civilised sit down and a browse through pattern books. Anyone any ideas? I`ll travel if needs must

Have you tried the Shaws The Drapers chain of shops as they have some stuff.

I miss David Morgan's too. It'll be a while but we'll have John Lewis soon. On City Road there's a shop called 'Terry's Fabrics'. They have good prices, and a lovely selection of materials and haberdashery, however, I personally don't find it a very welcoming shop.
