Hi Joanne,
I would try to find a local graphic designer, Google "graphic designer" + your location eg. Bristol. Then try to get one who works from home so that they have lower overheads. Then search online for poster printing. If you are looking for a poster to go outside / in direct sunlight you need UV resistant inks and probably need it printed on to vinyl (costs more). If it's indoor a 160gsm ish paper should be fine.
Once you've found a price online see if your local printer can match it, try Google / Yellow Pages. Ring 3 and you'll soon find out. National chains like printing dot com, Prontaprint and Mailboxes etc. will also be able to help.
Hope that helps.

Hi, not sure if this is against the rules here (mods, feel free to delete this post if it is) but I can offer you A4 or A3 design for £12 and then you can have those designs printed locally in a printing shop you should be able to find using Google.
Let me know if you're interested!
EDIT: I used to be a freelance graphic designer, I've done quite a bit of poster work, leaflets, logos and websites. If you're not satisfied with what I give you, you don't pay!0 -
Hi thanks for that il google it now, Would it not be ok just to use my printer to print them out? There just to put in shop windows to advertise the night so would i need UV resistant inks?0

If it's just a small thing you're doing and the posters aren't going to be exposed to the rain and stuff or in direct sunlight for more than 2 weeks or so go ahead and use your home printer.0
