    To the OP.

It's clearly a scam. Think to yourself. If they are that good, why aren't they just doing it themselves and making themselves all the money? Why are they then trying to turn it into a crappy little e-mail business. If I was as successful as they claimed. I wouldn't waste time sending out these e-mails trying to drum up business. I'd just deal myself and make myself money.

Many years ago I temporarily succumbed to the Penny Share bug. Every one of them bombed into oblivion of one form or another.

Somewhere I still have some Certificates. But most have been through so many permutations of mergers / share splitting etc that it would take the share equivalent of 'heir hunters' to track them down.

One highly tipped 'agricultural machinery' company was trading as an asian cinema chain just a few years later!

Sounds like a sure-fire winner to me*. Guy buys shares, then sends email around to tell others to buy them, too, raising the price. Guy then sells shares at a profit. Alternatively, guy bets that share price will fall, then sends email round to tell others to sell.

    *but not for you.

    Hi all,
    Is it a scam?

    Thanks,

Yes, it is a scam, for all the reasons others have already mentioned.

Of course, if anyone's really desperate to try penny shares, Asil (Polly Peck) Nadir is back in the UK now ;-)
  • It's not a scam as such, it's just a raw deal. It's interesting that you say you'll be buying the same shares as the guy promoting the service. Look at it this way: he buys shares in company A, he then tells all his customers to buy shares in company A.

If lots of people start buying the shares the price will go up. He sells his shares at a profit, and then tells you guys to sell. You could lose money or make very little. He'll always be one step ahead of 'his market' so it's a great deal for him if he recruits enough people.
