Could try taking the cover off and making sure the temperature control dial is making contact with the innards of the shower.
I know yours is new, but now mine is a few years old the teeth that connect the temperature control dial to the teeth that are on the inside panel tend to "jump" and over time we can no longer turn to cold, just have to take cover off and center the dial against the panel one and its fine again.
    Hope that made sense.

I don't think thats a very good idea to be honest right atm. OP will have to deal with the inevitable "how far can we get it up the wall?" contest between the installer and the supplier. Its either a faulty shower or faulty installation so touching it could give either the opportunity to walk away from their obligations - or try to.

    Hi Folks

Thanks for all your help, I still havn't managed to get to the bottom of the problem, I contacted the manufacturers of the shower and they said that it depends on the water pressure. So may need to get a plumber to check that, they then advised that if the pressure is fine i.e. above one bar then it should operate ok however if it is a pressure issue then problems could arise, otherwise faulty shower or poor installation. Thing is I've now had two good days with the shower and one bad day. Had to have a cold shower this morning.

To be honest Carol this thread concluded that it was either a faulty shower or
poor installation just over a week ago so am having difficulty understanding why you haven't called said plumber back by now.

    Cheers
