How long does it take to get survey results?

Options
Hi,

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get the results of a survey?

What happens next?

Thanks

  • It took about a week and half to get our results back (just had a homebuyers survey done). The next step.. you decide if you wanna buy the house or not and have a chat with the estate agent / your solicitor.

You can also call the surveyor to get more vague unspecific non-answers from them :)
  • Our survey results came through the next day. We are now waiting for the solicitors to do the relevant searches and draw up the contract. We have had a few forms through the post to complete - a questionnaire about rights and boundaries etc of the property and fixtures and fittings inventory which I presume is for the contract. Not much left to do now but wait for an exchange date (other than chase the solicitors).
  • We had a homebuyers survey done and it took about a week and half to get the written survey back. Some others i have known have had them back within the week.
  • I called the company that did our building survey and gave them my email address. They emailed the survey to me in two working days and I received it in the post the day after. On top of this, a few hours after the surveyor had finished, he spent ages on the phone with me answering all of my questions. I was in a bit of a panic at this time as the estate agent was putting us under a huge amount of pressure to move ahead with everything prior to us getting the survey back. This was certainly the most stressful time.
