In many ways, things are really great, thank you! I have a lovely new(ish) boyfriend, who I am just a little bit head over heels in love with, and he is so far removed from the idiots I have dated in the past!
I have bought my ex out of the house we shared when we were together, and am about to start the process of getting divorced.
The kids are doing really well, and seem happy. Work is improving after a recent crappy spell there.
On the other hand, I am skint and fat. Very. On both counts. :rotfl:

Hello Snaggs - Glad the new boyfriend is working out well - has he met the kids yet? Great news on the house buy out and the divorce (IYSWIM). And for what it's worth, I don't think you could look fat if you tried.
It's absolutly throwing it down here - I can see localised flooding being an issue if it carries on much longer.
And because of that being a posibility in this area of late I've moved all my paperwork and important bits and bobs upstairs for safe keeping. If there was a flood or a fire I only need to grab two boxes...one with paperwork, one with photos and the back up hard drive (that's been updated)...and of course the kids and DH.

Thanks Claire!
Scaredy, that's pants, poor you. I hope you find something soon. :grouphug:
Welcome back Suzy! I have been enviously following your trip on FB too.
New man is really rather wonderful, but lives in Edinburgh and I just don't know how I can possibly afford to maintain a long distance relationship. It is going to have to be done though, even if it means a pretty major rethink of my finances. I figure that as long as it doesn't impact upon the kids too much, it's worth making changes to be with someone you love."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
