Which bank account for wedding gift cash?

Hi all,
My fiancee and I are getting married next year and seeing as we've both been living away from our parents for around 7 years each now, we've decided that we have enough [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] household appliances, etc. to re-stock rumbelows. As such, we are going to ask that our guests don't buy us gifts but instead (if they would still like to give us something), make a contribution to our honeymoon fund.
We're simply going to give our family/friends, etc. a set of bank account/ sort code details and ask them to make a transfer to that account. We've decided that it would be easier to open a new account for this purpose, rather than have the money go in to either of our current accounts and get lost amongst the other bills and suchlike, soooooo......
My question is, which kind of account would be best for us to do this. Ive just spent an hour looking through various savings/current/any other type of account and havent the foggiest which would be the simplest to operate.
To put it in simple terms, we simply want a cash dump with an account number to store some money until our honeymoon. We're not particularly interested in huge interest rates, (although obviously wouldnt grumble if we earnt something from it) just somewhere to keep it safe and that we can take cash out of immediately after the wedding. Im usually pretty good when it comes to sorting out banking stuff, but with this Im totally perplexed!!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
