I opened one, 10 mins of form filling in the branch, and it was open 4 days later, and if you ask, they'll give you acc. no. and sort code on the day so you can set your stuff up ready! Don't worry, co op were great with us and do everything they can to help, good luck from us both!
Did you guys file in Brighton? No student loans have to be paid into an account in your name. In court in 2 hours and beside myself now!0 -
I filed in Brighton a couple of years ago..
You can open a cashminder after BR, no problem and this won't be closed! It's only ones opened before BR that sometimes have a problem.
Or if you just need somewhere to put your money in then Chelsea building society on the western road will let you open an instant access savings account. the downside with this is that you need to go into the branch to get your cash but once the cashminder is up and running you can move the money across.:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
No I'm not in Brighton, but if you can open one after OR interview the co op are pretty quick!0

nothing to stop you however opening another co-op account once the OR's interview is over & done with as you've said
Hi all - well all went ok ISH only cried infront of the judge once! OR office called later in the day and they were lovely. They have said I am ok to open a new account so not sure where this rumour about no accounts allowed in Brighton came from???0 -

crackle I think it is a problem if you have opened your account pre-BR, as you have done it after speaking to the OR it is fine.
Glad it went well for you xx0 -

Hi guys, no sadly I have had a manic weekend and just stopped to call coop thinking they were 24 hour and they closed 15 minutes before I called. Am hoping they will be open tomorrow so will try in the morning.
So strange though I don't feel any sense of relief - did you? I think as it is really the OR that has all the power just getting things signed by the judge hasn't made me feel any better, just poorer!
Thanks for all the support guys x0
