national express do a coach service between heathrow and gatwick - i have used this service before when i have had the same problem.£27.76/£2018 in 20180

Cheaper alternatives are discussed here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2530733
However, they might not be practical if your friends have a lot of luggage.0 -
A taxi if booked will be around £500

For 4 people a prebooked car can be convenient and economical.0

I think they would prefer that, any contact details please?
I have a card on my table here for Flightlink 0208 8932222. I have no connection with these but I picked up the card in my local as I live near Heathrow and need to go to Gatwick in November. The fare quote on their card is £41.50 from Feltham - Gatwick. Feltham is about £10 away from the airport (in a taxi) hence the £50 fare I mentioned.
Just make them quote the job in advance.
They also have online booking www.flightlinkcars.co.uk
EDIT: Their website is quoting higher than this card I have if the journey is airport to airport as they have a surcharge.0 -
Do your friends drive?
Europcar have an excellent short-term rental, which allows one-ways between LHR and LGW. Works out at £19.95 all-in for the cheapest car, not much more for a bigger one. Plus a few quid on petrol.

The only caveat is that the rental needs to be between 0800 and 1200, but this tallys well with the arrival of most transatlantics.0 -

Will look into that myself.0
