I have recently put my house on the market, infact yesterday so understandably Ive had no viewings yet. I have put in an offer on a house which has been accepted in principal, however I have to sell my house first in order to purchase the other house. I am nervous incase a buyer who has the money or a first time buyer steals the house from under my nose! I simply cannot afford a bridging loan as I struggle to pay for the mortgage ive got on my own house. I was tinkering with the idea of the "Sell your house quickly" companies to see how much they would buy my house off me for, just while Im waiting for viewings. Like I said, its early days yet as my house isnt advertised yet. My house has been valued between £95000 - £100000 and is on the market for offers over £95000. I am aware that these "sell your house quickly" companies offer a lower than market value for properties, however I am just curious as to wether anyone on the forum has dealt with and had a good reult with these companies or do i steer clear?? Likewise, any thoughts or suggestins would be most appreciated before I do anything stupid!! I live in the North east of England.

I haven't dealt with them. But beware that some of these companies insist that you take out a survey using their surveyor. This costs you money. They then make a derisory offer. If you walk away, they've profited due to the survey fee. Reports I read said that for these company it was the survey fee that was the primary source of their profit.0
