City Visitor/Infoserve?

Does anyone have any experience of this company? I've been offered a priority listing in two categories for £175.

I'm a bit sceptical about the potential rewards from marketing with Infoserve it could be another company like Scoot - which IMO isn't worth the initial outlay.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Many thanks!

  • Infoserve are on a number of fairly large websites - for example go to the Radio Times and look in the top right hand corner, or go to the daily mail's website and search for a 'business' (it doesn't state it's infoserve, but I believe it's run by them).

Because they are on such big websites, they should get good coverage, but it depends on how many people actually use those sites to search (and in reality, how many times do you go to the Radio Times, and search for a company?). Another thing to think about is how many other people are in the same classification as you? If there are a lot, it may not be worth it.

I'm always slightly dubious of things like this that I have to pay for....but I think that's just my cynical nature ;) There's a page on their website which shows who they partner with....worth a quick look if you are tempted :)

    Little update on this.

I'm considering allocating a fairly large budget to advertising for the new year (somewhere in the region of 2 grand) and might be tempted to give this a go as the classification I come under has no priority listing at the moment. I'll see if I can get it down a bit more.

If I go ahead - I'll post my results up here for you.

I promote them on the net and soon on ebay. They're a great small company that have won many local awards.
