How much would you like to spend? How large or small screen/keyboard? Lots of outdoor use or mainly inside?0

When you buy your laptop, buy "Windows 7 for dummies". It'll help you expand your knowledge without using lots of technobabble.0

If the laptops run the same software, there is no difference in useability. They are all the same way easy or difficult to handle.
So if you're using Windows at work, then you should use it at home as well as you don't need to learn anything new. The same applies for the software. But if you want to save money, then you could use Openoffice instead MS Office for instance. If you do only basic word processing and spreadsheets, there is no real difference between the two.0 -

Argos Clearance Bargains has laptops from as little as £200 and Netbooks for less. But you haven't stated your budget...
Budget a minimum or £150 for a Netbook and £250 for a laptop.0 -
Thanks for advice,if netbooks are smaller,do they cover surfing and emails, plus would there be loads of other "bits" that I would need to set up?also are their any reputable sites for refurbished models?0
